Who has asked these children whether they wanted to be born like this

The prisoners up to 25 years whom we care for in 16 Romanian prisons had to abstain from the pastoral help of Father Don Demidoff during Christmas time and the turn of the year, because the Father has become seriously ill and had to undergo a lot of suffering in three different hospitals: Wilhelminenspital Vienna, Marienkrankenhaus Kassel, and Hessenklinik Dermatological Clinic Kassel.


We send our cordial thanks for your generosity, gifts and sacrifices to the donators and sponsors of our social center Casa Don Bosco. The tormented gypsy children of the 5 villages we care for had bright eyes when we brought them their Christmas presents. Even during the Christmas days our doctor looked after the ill children in the shanties and fed them.


After harassment, persecution and libeling in 20 years in Romania the stress has caused him an ill skin. He is suffering very much and says: I have reached the ninth station of the crossway of Jesus Christ: "Jesus falls down the third time under the cross". But "who wants to follow me, may take up his cross". Many persecutees who believe implicitly have to go this way. May your and our sacrifices be recorded in the book of life. Please remain faithful to our work and Father Don.
