December 20, 2009 Christmas 2009 in Romania

Every people has the government it deserves. After a long time of paralization there is a formation of a new government again. But if you want to buy a tree for Christmas in these days, you have to show your identity card, which has to be copied by the dealer, you have to undersign the proof of purchase and give evidence, where you have bought and paid the tree, to the police in case of being stopped by them. Is this a measure because all Romanians are thiefs, or is it a regulation because the government does not trust in its people and wants to go back to the collective communism? Where have we ended up 20 years after the so called revolution in this country? Every people has the government it deserves.
